Many fans would likely agree that player homes in Skyrim are often a favorite aspect of the game. Initially introduced in the base title, Bethesda expanded more on this feature in later game expansions such as the Hearthfire and Dragonborn paid DLCs. Skyrim homes give players space in-game to display and showcase unique items they have gathered throughout their adventures. They can also build their own family through the different marriage and child adoption options in the game.

Showing off their meticulous organization skills, Reddit user MemesAreAReligion1 posted a photo of a very tidy bookshelf found in one of the player homes in Skyrim. The Redditor shared that this particular bookshelf can be found in the Honeyside house in Riften. In the photo, the books are lined up perfectly, without a single book laying at an awkward angle. With Skyrim known for having issues with item placement in player homes, this can be considered quite a feat without any mods to help with item rotation.
The Redditor explained that they were able to organize the two bottom shelves of the bookcase easily due to Skyrim’s built-in game menu. However, they had a harder time with other shelves as each book had to be handled manually. Many comments on the Reddit thread commended MemesAreAReligion1 for their patience and perseverance, given how difficult it is to decorate in Skyrim without organization mods. Even so, the Redditor seems driven to continue their work of manually organizing their bookshelves in other homes in vanilla Skyrim.
Even though it seems like Bethesda is heavily focused on its newer IPs such as Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6, the Skyrim community does not seem to mind the lack of updates. The fans seem to be satisfied with its own player-made content, and will likely continue to discover new ways to play the game, with or without new updates from the official developers themselves.
