The Quarry is a game developed by Supermassive Games and published by 2K. In it, players assume the control of nine teenage summer camp counselors who have to survive a night at Hackett’s Quarry. In this interactive drama told through the nine characters, horrors await ready to cull their victims. Depending on the choices of the player, all nine characters may survive - or die. The Quarry is divided into ten chapters plus a prologue and an epilogue.

Throughout the game, players guide the counselors through challenges that have consequences for their safety and survival. These choices can also affect the character development, the plot, the relationships of the characters, and the ending and the eventual death count. The Quarry is heavily inspired by teen slashers and other horror movies, including the likes of Friday the 13th. The cast of the game features household names such as Brenda Song, David Arquette, Ariel Winter, and others.
The Quarry is played from a third-person view controlling the movement and actions of the characters separately. A regular game lasts around ten hours, although misfortunes of the counselors can shorten the experience. There are many ways in which each character can meet their maker. After the completion of the game, players can also rewind it to try and save all counselors and have a flawless survival rate.
